Baltimore Book Festival — September 19–20 | Waverly Main Street
The annual love letter to literature returns to Waverly for a full two-day celebration of books, authors, and Baltimore's thriving indie bookstore scene. Organized by the Mayor's Office of Arts, Culture & Entertainment in partnership with local independent bookstores, this year's festival features nine stages, over 100 literary vendors and community exhibitors, and headliner names including Claudia Rankine, Naomi Klein, and Astra Taylor. Kids and teens get their own dedicated programming — and best of all, it's free. Saturday and Sunday, all day along Waverly Main Street. The festival tagline says it best: "Stories Begin Here."
Ali Wong Live — Friday, September 18 | Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall
Emmy-nominated comedian and Netflix star Ali Wong brings her live show to the Meyerhoff — yes, the symphony hall — for one night only at 7 pm. Baltimore Comic-Con — September 25–27 | Baltimore Convention Center
