📰 Baltimore News Bites

  • Big shipbuilding plan for Sparrows Point: Defense-tech company Anduril announced plans this week for a roughly $3.7 billion, 2-million-square-foot shipyard at Sparrows Point in Baltimore County — one of the region's largest industrial investments in years.

  • City College rebuild moves ahead: Crews are now pouring concrete floors and running mechanical and electrical systems at the Baltimore City College renovation, though a firm date for students to return still hasn't been set (Baltimore Sun).

  • Downtown building up for sale: The city is moving to sell the vacant city-owned office building at 210 Guilford Avenue, another step in efforts to put empty downtown properties back to use (Baltimore Fishbowl).

Until next Thursday...

Whether you're catching a show at the newly reopened 8x10, wandering into an artist's studio, or chasing jack-o'-lantern glow up in Monkton, get out there and soak up this gorgeous October in Charm City. Tell a friend, bring a neighbor, and support the folks who make this city sing.
